Club Objectives
The objects of the Society are:
(a) To become and remain registered with the Guild.
(b) To further the interests of enrolled students.
(c) To assist new students with orientation to the University.
(d) To encourage and promote cooperation between the Society and other Student societies.
(e) To do all things that are necessary and proper for the benefit and advancement of the Society and the Guild.
(f) Established in 2017, Curtin Economics Society (CES) aims to prepare students for a wide range of roles in economics by building a strong connection between university and industry. This is achieved through specialized events and presentations delivered by professionals in the private and public sectors, think tanks, and academia. Students will be able to gain a greater insight into the broad range of careers available in economics, while being provided with the skills and advice to succeed in such roles. Although we act as a base club for economics students, we welcome all majors interested in understanding how the economy works and policy formation.
Note: No alteration, addition or amendment of the objectives outlined on this page shall be made without prior approval from the Curtin Student Guild in accordance with club governance policies.
